Carol and I went to the track for a power walk this past Sunday. We have not been there in a while due to Small Fry games. But on Sunday, we averaged 14:38 per mile. Our previous 3 walks averaged 15:36, 15:51, and 15:55.
To what do we attribute this improvement? The only major change is that we are both going to RTG Training and Performance for Metabolic Resistance Training 3 times per week.
Was I short of breath? A little… But we maintained the pace for over 2.5 miles. MRT has definitely increased our cardio-vascular output.
