Don’t get me wrong. Minivans are great, especially with a large family. I had been driving one since 1997. We got rid of our last van in 2018, and we went with one vehicle for a year and a half.
And now that girl Carol has gone and let me buy a toy. A couple of years ago I had wanted a motorcycle, but nurse chick Carol said absolutely not. Which is a smart thing!
I’d say this is a fair compromise. Cheaper than the Harley I had my eye on a couple of years back, and we can both get enjoyment from it on our wine junkets!
While I started this post a year ago when we originally bought a roadster — a 2006 BMW Z4 3.0i — I am finishing it today.
You see, that car was totaled in a T-bone wreck (no injuries), so we now have replaced that car with a 2007 BMW Z4 3.0i with aport package. It is pictured above. (To see before and after photos of the 2006 click here.)
So maybe losing the 2006 blue on black was a blessing in disguise. Because we sure love the new (well, new to us) 2007 black on red.
So cheers! There is a group of Z owners that travels frequently. Reach out and say hi. For more info check out Zouthern Tier Z’s.
Let me know… should I post YouTubes of the car? I never thought I was into a car YouTube channel, but the folks making the videos seem to be having fun!
